Belle C Innis

Services for Belle C. Innis, age 87 of Paullina, Iowa who passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center in Sheldon. Her celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church in Paullina. Fellowship time will be from 3:00 P.M. til 4:30 P.M. with her service at 4:30 P.M. all at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church in Paullina.

Arrangements are under the care of the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.

Belle C. Innis, the daughter of Leroy James and Zera Morgan (Brown) Strattan was born on September 28, 1930 in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended and graduated from Omaha Schools and continued her education at Oklahoma State University. On August 31, 1951 she married Joe R. Innis in Omaha, Nebraska. After the couple married they farmed together. Joe preceded Belle in death. After his passing Belle remained on the farm before moving into town in Paullina. Belle passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center reaching the age of 87 years, 6 months and 21 days.
Belle was a very active member for 62 years at First Presbyterian Church in Paullina. She enjoyed working outside and caring for others in need. She also enjoyed writing letters, sending cards and giving hugs. Spending time with her family was also very special to her.
Left to cherish her memory is her children, Christine Axdahl of Paullina, Kathleen (Ron) Negus of Paullina, Josephine Innis (Jack Gittinger) of New Mexico, Janine Gravely of Olathe, Kansas and Joe R. Innis Jr. (Alisa Castillo) of Lombard, Illinois; eleven grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Janie Strattan; brother and sister-in-law, Jergen (Jean) Barber; also other relatives and friends.
Those preceded her in death are her parents; husband Joe; twin brother and sister.
