Annie L. Stevens was born June 20th, 1919 in Riley, Kansas to Irving and Ruth (McKinley) Woodbury. She grew up on a farmstead near Broughton, Kansas and graduated from Riley Rural High School. She worked at the Clay Center Municipal hospital and for the telephone company, working in Clay Center and Tucson, Arizona.
She married Harry Dale Stevens on May 10th, 1945 in Santa Monica, California while Harry served in the Navy. They made their home in Salina, Kansas for over 50 years while Harry worked for the Union Pacific railroad. She enjoyed camping with friends, doing crafts and looking for antiques. Annie's love of red birds was well known by all. Harry passed away in 2003 and Annie lived in Fieldcrest Assisted Living and Senior Care in Sheldon, Iowa until her passing on Monday, August 17, 2015 reaching the age of 96 years, 1 month and 27 days.
She is survived by her son, Brian of Tulsa, Oklahoma and daughter, Linda (Erwin) Wynia of Sheldon, Iowa, and grandchildren Ashley (Bryan) Tosh and their sons, Braden and Hank, Erica (Ryan) Long and their daughters, Paige and Zoey, Jason (Christina) and their sons, Brian, Christopher and Nicholas, Juston (Michaela) and their son, Leyton and also her great-granddaughter Shelby Smith. She is also survived by her brother, Hoyt (Iona) Woodbury and sister, Jewel Robinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother in infancy, sister Ruth, sister in law Wilma, brother in law Dana and grandson Lloyd.
