ARLO BUB TEWES

Arlo Bub Tewes, the son of Ernest and Nellie Baumeister Tewes, was born on July 3, 1937, in Hartley, Iowa. He attended Hartley schools and graduated from Hartley High School in 1956. On June 12, 1957 he was united in marriage to Harriet Lorraine Wulf. For 58 years Arlo and Harriet resided on their farm southwest of Primghar, where they raised their family. Arlo moved to Prairie View Home in Sanborn, Iowa in August of 2015. Arlo passed away at Prairie View Home on Friday, October 23, 2015 reaching the age of 78 years, 3 months and 20 days.
Arlo farmed, enjoyed restoring tractors, and vacationing with friends until his health began to decline. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.
Arlo is survived by his wife Harriet, three children and their spouses, Deb and Greg Smith of Norwalk, Iowa, Tami and Greg Perrigo of Raleigh, North Carolina and Joni and KJ (Jim) Gilchrist of Urbandale, Iowa; five grandchildren: Chad, Tiffani, Chanc, Tyler, and Brooke; six great grandchildren: Bentley, Kingston, Brenna, Bria, Ella, and Leah; four brothers: Lester and Eldon of Hartley, Iowa, Orville of Paullina, Iowa and Roger of Larrabee, Iowa; two sisters: Marjorie Petersen and Marlene Wills of Hartley, Iowa; also, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and four brothers.
