Carol Ann Hopcroft, the daughter of Ignatious and Margaret (Kvasty) Brown was born June 2, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio. She received her education and graduated from high school. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Hopcroft Jr. and was married for fifteen years. Carol came to the Primghar area in 1998 and began working for the Baum-Harmon Hospital in Primghar. She was employed in the housekeeping department retiring because of ill health in 2010.She passed away on Friday April 19, 2013 at the Baum-Harmon Mercy Hospital in Primghar reaching the age of 57 years 10 months and 17 days.
Carol is survived by her children; Richard and his wife Kelli Hopcroft and L.J. and his wife Marissa Hopcroft all of Primghar and April and her husband Hale Hawley of Spencer, also 14 grandchildren; two sisters Ada “Tootie” Davis of Paullina and Marge “Candy” Griffey in Florida, also other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kaylee, parents, two sisters, Eleanor Bernal and Frances Baker and two brothers, Robert Ward and Edward Ward.
