Cynthia Fisher

Cynthia Fisher, age 62, of Sheldon, Iowa, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Sanford Sheldon Senior Care in Sheldon. Memorial Mass will be Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Sheldon. Father Siby Punnoose officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday at Calvary Cemetery in Ayrshire, Iowa. Visitation will be from 9:15 A.M. to 10:15 A.M. prior to Memorial Mass on Saturday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Sheldon. Cynthia Ann Fisher was born on February 20. 1957 in Estherville, Iowa. She is the daughter of William and Shirley (O'Connor) Fisher. Cindy lived her youth on a farm near Ayrshire and Curlew, Iowa. She attended special education for 13 years in Emmetsburg, Iowa and was employed for 2 years at workshop. Cindy moved to Sheldon, Iowa in 1981 and lived and worked at Village Northwest Unlimited. In 2003 she moved to Sanford Sheldon Senior Care. Cindy will be remembered as a sweet and determined person with a great sense of humor who enjoyed teasing people. She loved her pet cats, dogs, and anything soft and fuzzy. Bingo was her passion and it was obvious when someone came to visit during Bingo time, she would leave and go to Bingo. She will remembered by her family for many things, but one thing that continues to be talked about is when Cindy was young and got into a bucket of mulberries and made a big mess of the floor and herself. Cindy passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Sanford Sheldon Senior Care. Those left to cherish her memories are her parents, Bill and Shirley Fisher of Windom, MN; her brother, Steven Fisher of Lakefield, MN and his special friend, Wanda Nelson. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; 3 brothers, Paul Fisher, Daniel Fisher and David Fisher; one sister-in-law, Rebecca (Becky) Fisher; several aunts and uncles.
