DWIGHT W. PIERCE
Dwight Warren Pierce, the son of Warren and Betty (Smith) Pierce was born on April 25, 1955 in Carroll, Iowa He spent his childhood years on the family farm near Coon Rapids, Iowa where he received his education and graduated from the Coon Rapids High School in 1973. In 1980, he move to Sioux City, Iowa where he met his future wife, Pam; the two were united in marriage on December 19, 1981in Sheldon, Iowa, and then moved to Wichita, Kansas. In 1988, they move back to Sheldon, Iowa, (Pams hometown); where Dwight got a job with the Sheldon Community Schools where he has worked for the past 28 years. Dwight passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota reaching the age of 60 years, 8 months and 27 days.
He was a member the United Methodist Church in Sheldon. He loved hunting, fishing and his family. He had a good life and loved spending time at the Lakes in the summer and hunting at the farm in the fall and winter. He especially enjoyed trips to Alaska.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pam; son, Nicholas and his fianc, Anna Brown of Cresco, Iowa; his mother-in-law, Phyllis Smith of Sheldon, Iowa; two sisters, Becki and her husband, Mike Tribby of Stoughton, Wisconsin; Connie Pierce of Coon Rapids, Iowa; one brother, Darwin Pierce and Elizabeth Garst of Coon Rapids, Iowa; brother-in-law, Dr. Brad and his wife, Danna Smith of Scottsdale, Arizona; a sister-in-law, Jo Lynn and her husband, Scoot Nulph of Peoria, Arizona; nieces and nephews, Gretchen and Ryan and their children, Blake and Quinn; Sam, Ashley, Alex and Elizabeth and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ray and his father-in-law, Roger Smith.
