EARL R. KOLP

Earl Richard Kolp, the son of Carl S. and Olive (L) Geringer Kolp was born November 17, 1946 in Primghar, Iowa. He attended school in Paullina and graduated from Paullina High School in 1965. Earl served in the Army with the 2nd Armor Division from August 24, 1967 until his discharge on August 21, 1970. He then served in the Army reserves being discharged in June of 1973. Earl made his home in South Dakota for many years where he was employed in construction. He retired due to ill health and returned to make his home in Paullina. He passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota reaching the age of 69 years, 5 months and 22 days.
Earl is survived by one sister, Janis Faye Johnson of Yankton, South Dakota; two nephews, Carl and Samuel Johnson; also great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Olive and one sister, Ruth.
