ELEONORA A. HINZ

Eleonora Anna Hinz the daughter of John and Rose (Hieber) Daniels was born on October 28, 1912 in Burns, Wyoming. She was baptized on November 17, 1912 in Burns, Wyoming by Pastor Meyer and was later confirmed on March 28, 1926 at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown, Iowa by Pastor Steger. She received her education in Chicago, Illinois, St. John Lutheran School in Germantown and graduated from Paullina High School. She was united in marriage to Frank Hinz on February 4, 1933 at Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina by Pastor Hartmuester. The couple farmed in the Paullina area until moving to town in 1966. She passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at the Prairie View Nursing Home in Sanborn reaching the age of 100.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she was involved in the Dorcas Society and later Ladies Aid. She was a Lamplighter for many years and did volunteer work for Cradle Roll, Braille and Wide View for many years.
Eleonora is survived by her daughter, Colleen and her husband, Alvin Hattermann of Paullina, IA; daughter-in-law, Joanne Hinz of Neosho, MO; six grandchildren, Pam and her husband, Duane Ricke of Sioux Falls, SD; Carla and her husband, Scott Wise of Paullina, IA; Glenna and her husband, Steve Gillmore, Valerie Sharpe and Kyle and his wife, Rayma Hinz all of Neosho, MO; fourteen great grandchildren, Jennifer, Kelly and Jill Ricke of Sioux Falls, SD; Katie and her husband, Drew Triplett, Korey Wise both of Primghar, IA; Austin Wise of Paullina, IA; Jennifer and her husband, Kevin Beaver of Neosho, MO; Sarah Leathers of Joplin, MO; Kevin Sharpe, Katie Sharpe, Kodie Arthur Hinz, Caleb Hinz, Kyla Hinz, Layne Hinz all of Neosho, MO; eight great-great grandchildren, Addison Triplett, Kodie Allison, Caden and Alexa Carlin, Tevin Beaver, Lakya and Tayran Leathers and Cara Sharpe; one sister-in-law, Frances Hoger of Waterloo, IA; also other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, a son, Glenn Hinz; a grandson, Terry Hattermann; her parents, two brothers, Arthur Daniels and Elias Hoger and two step-brothers.
