A Poem for Florence

There’s one who walked with us each day of our lives;
Whose smile was so welcoming and sincerity no surprise.
She lived through life’s struggles; emotional moments she had.
She laughed loudly in good times and wept openly in sad.
For those of us fortunate to have known her so well,
Her life unfolds daily in the stories we tell.
She had many nick names, Puddle and PoPo were two;
Flo and Flo Jo ranked up there, and Fairway Flo did too!
As you can see love surrounded her
in the form of family and friends;
“We just LOVED being with her,”
was the message they’d send!
God couldn’t have blessed anyone with a better Mom,
friend or wife;
She was a top-of-the-line model in the creation of life!
He made her in His image, and He held nothing back;
She was passionate and witty and smart as a tack!
Her love warmed our hearts, and her smile hid our fears;
Her understanding soothed our souls,
and her compassion dried our tears.
She’ll be missed every minute of every day, every night;
And her love will continue to be our Guiding Light.
We thank God for the privilege of calling her
Mother and Friend,
And our love for her, Like His Kingdom, will have NO end…
