FLORENCE E. DEYLOFF
Florence E. Deyloff, the daughter of John and Katherine (Peters) Kolpin, was born December 11, 1907 in Galva, Iowa. After the death of her parents, she was raised and later adopted by her Uncle Frank and Aunt Emma Neuman. She attended school in Galva and later graduated from Linn Grove High School in 1926. She was united in marriage to Howard Deyloff on October 27, 1927. After their marriage the couple settled in Aurelia, where they operated the First Trust and Savings Bank for many years. Her husband preceded her in death in December of 1981. She remained in Aurelia until moving to the Lakes area to make her home. She later moved to Spencer to make her home in the Riverview Terrace Assisted Living Residence. In October of 2006, she transferred to the St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer. She passed away at St. Luke’s on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 reaching the age of 99 years, 1 month and 13 days.
She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Spencer. She enjoyed traveling; the couple for many years had a home in Florida and she also enjoyed playing bridge.
Florence leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Joann and her husband, Clarence Gaudian of Spencer; a son, Jerry and his wife, Dee Deyloff of Punta Gorda, Florida; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, also other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Gerald Howard in infancy; her parents, her adopted parents, three brothers and a sister.

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall
not want. He maketh me to lie
down in green pastures; He leadeth
me beside still waters. He
restoreth my soul; He leadeth me
in the paths of righteousness for
His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death, I will
fear no evil; for Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort
me; Thou preparest a table before
me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou anointest my head with oil,
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall
follow me all the days of my life;
and I will dwell in the house of the
Lord forever.
