GARY F. BRUNST
Gary Frederick Brunst, the son of Clarence J. and Marianne (Petersen) Brunst was born September 7, 1953 in Elmhurst, Illinois. He received his education and graduated from Addison Trail High School in 1971. On September 7, 1974 he was united in marriage to Laurie Nagle in Bensenville, Illinois. After their marriage the couple lived in Wood Dale and St. Charles, Illinois where Gary was a heavy equipment operator for Local 150. He worked with different construction companies retiring because of ill health. The couple moved to Paullina, Iowa in 1996. He moved to the Orange City Long Term Care on January 26, 2011 because of his deteriorating health. Gary passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Orange City Area Health System reaching the age of 60 years and 29 days.
He was a member of the Oakdale Evangelical Free Church in rural Meriden, Iowa and the Local 150 of Countryside, Illinois. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, golfing, camping and snowmobiling.
Gary leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Laurie of Paullina; a son, Dan and his wife, Karlyn Brunst and their two children, Tyler and Lauren of Orange City, Iowa; his mother and step-father, Marianne and Nicholas Riff in Florida; a brother and his wife, Greg and Kathy Brunst of West Chicago, Illinois; two step brothers and their wives, Larry and Diane Riff in Kentucky and Kenny and Robin Riff of Algonquin, Illinois; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence.
