Jane Hansen, 81 of Arden Hills, Minnesota who passed away on February 23, 2018. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Sheldon.
There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are under the care of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Jane Hansen
Jane Elizabeth Hansen, age 81, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, February 23, 2018. A 10:30am Visitation and a 11:00am Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Christ the King Lutheran Church 1660 Birch Lake Avenue in Bear Lake, Minnesota.
Jane was born September 28, 1936 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and spent her childhood in Arizona and New Mexico. Jane attended Phoenix West High School and was a pioneer 1959 graduate of Iowa State College with a Home Economics degree. Jane met and married her best friend, Lorin, while at Iowa State. They raised their family Des Moines, Iowa, Omaha, Nebraska, Phoenix, Arizona Rochester and White Bear Lake, Minnesota. She was active at St. John’s Lutheran Church, served on the Iowa State Home Economics Board and was president of the Iowa Home Economics Association the Des Moines Chapter. Jane shared her passions by teaching countless people the art of ceramics, sewing, cooking, cake decorating and gardening. Her latter years were spent enjoying the tranquility of Minnesota’s Lake Johanna.
Jane Hansen will be lovingly remembered by her children, Laurna (Vince) Prantil of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and William (Sheri) Hansen of Arden Hills, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Carmen and Lorin Prantil, Alex and Joe Hansen. She is also survived by her brother, Joe Wagner of Lakeview, Oregon and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Jane’s parents, Joseph and Lotus Wagner, her husband, Lorin; a son, Glenn and a sister, LoAnne greeted her at heaven’s gate.
