LAURA M. POSS 
  
     Laura Margaret Poss, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Jungers) McGrath was born October 6, 1918 in Hospers, Iowa. She received her education at St. Anthony’s Catholic School in Hospers. On February 1, 1949, she was united in marriage to Donald Poss at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sheldon. After their marriage the couple settled on a farm near Ashton where they farmed for many years together. The couple retired from farming in 1987 and moved to Sheldon. They remained in Sheldon until June of 2005, when they moved to the Waterford Assisted Living in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Waterford in Sioux Falls, reaching the age of 91 years, 8 months and 4 days. 
     She was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sheldon. Laura also enjoyed reading and sewing. 
     Laura is survived by her husband, Donald of Sioux Falls; three children, Daniel and his wife, Irene Poss of Sioux Falls; Marilyn Hansen of Laurens, Iowa and Dianne and her husband, Randy Martens of Sioux Falls; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two sisters, Marian Honkomp of Sheldon and Luella and her husband, Lenny Streit of Sibley; also other relatives and friends. 
     She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard in infancy and Michael; a grandson, Douglas Sangwin; a son-in-law, Mark Hansen and her parents.
