MARGARET SCHNIDER
Margaret (Nuggie) Schnider, the daughter of Ernest C. and Dena C. (Meints) Paulsen was born on June 10, 1925 near Ashton, Iowa. She attended country school near Melvin, Iowa. On October 22, 1947, she was united in marriage to John Schnider in Glenwood, Minnesota. Margaret spent her early years as a waitress; she tended homes for some elderly neighborhood ladies. She was a custodian for the Eagles Club for 23 years and a volunteer for the Oak Park Nursing Home for 15 years after Johns passing. Margaret and John were married 43 years prior to his passing on January 27, 1991. Margaret remained in the family home until May of 2008 when she moved to the Christian Retirement Home in Sheldon. In August of 2014, she moved to Floyd Place Assisted Living in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.
Margaret was a member of the St. Patricks Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing games and watching her granddaughters shows with them.
Left to Cherish Margarets memory is her two children and their spouses, Larry and RaeLynn Schnider of Sheldon, Iowa and Sheila and Tim Starr of Salix, Iowa; three granddaughters, Chelsey and her husband, Jeff Lindaman of Humboldt, Iowa, Kala Schnider of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Darcy Starr of Salix, Iowa; one brother, Ernie Paulsen of Sheldon, Iowa; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mark and Mary Ann Williams of Sheldon, Iowa; also several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; 2 still born children; sister and brother-in-law, Christina and Albert Roetman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pete and Annie Paulsen, Herman and Minnie Paulsen, Gus and Emma Paulsen, Fred Paulsen, Bill and Kay Schnider, Frank and Audrey Schnider and Hank and Mary Schnider.
