MARIE A. WUDDEL

Marie Ann Wuddel, the daughter of Mathias and Sophia (Kuta) Seivert was born May 1, 1918 in Struble, Iowa. She moved with her family as a small child to the Ashton area. She received her education at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Ashton. On February 6, 1940, she was united in marriage to Leo Wuddel in Ashton, Iowa. After their marriage the couple farmed between Boyden and Sheldon, before moving into Sheldon in 1956. Her husband preceded her in death on October 20, 1985 in Sheldon. Marie remained in the family home until 1986, when she moved to the Autumn Park Apartments and in July of 2003, she moved to the Northwest Iowa Health Center – Senior Care. She passed away at the senior care on Wednesday, October 11, 2006, reaching the age of 88 years, 5 months and 10 days.
She was member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Sheldon. She enjoyed going for rides, playing Bingo, watching T.V., especially sports.
Marie is survived by a sister, Angeline Kruger of Round Lake, Minnesota; and two brothers, Matthew Seivert of Sanborn, Iowa; and Doug Seivert of Sheldon, Iowa; also many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two brothers, Martin and Gerald.
