MARJORIE L. MASTBERGEN
Marjorie Lois Mastbergen, the daughter of Cornelius and Christine (Hiemstra) Brinkman, was born on May 16, 1927 in Sheldon, Iowa. She attended school in the Ashton area and graduated from Ashton High School in 1945. On January 18, 1949, she was united in marriage to Charles H. Mastbergen in Sheldon. They farmed together in the Melvin, Sheldon and Matlock areas, until they moved into Sheldon in 1990. They enjoyed their winter home in Mesa, Arizona for the past 15 years. Marge went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.
She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Sheldon and was actively involved in the Care Committee of Broadway Chapel in Mesa, Arizona.
Marge’s loving and caring spirit will be missed by all.
Left to cherish her memory, are her husband, Charles of Sheldon; two daughters, Diane and her husband, Steve Vogel of Sioux City, Iowa; Joy and her husband, Larry Feige of Brandon, South Dakota; two sons, Brian and his wife, Debra Mastbergen of Sioux City, Iowa; Curtis and his wife, Charlene Mastbergen of Sioux City, Iowa; nine grandchildren, three step grandchildren, two brothers and their spouses, Dwayne and Bonnie Brinkman of Marshall, Minnesota and Marvin and Carolyn Brinkman of Tyler, Minnesota; and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Doris Van Nyhuis.
