NORMA J. KRUSE
On Wednesday, June 9, 2021, Norma Jean Kruse, loving Sister, Aunt, cousin and friend passed away at the age of 80.
Norma J. Kruse was born on April 16, 1941 in Sheldon, Iowa to Hilton and Bena (Wesselink) Den Hartog. She grew up in Sheldon and worked at the Corner Cafe and the Sheldon Bakery.
Norma loved spending time with family. We all have many fun and loving memories of spending time with her. She loved to go camping and fishing. She also enjoyed the time she got to spend with her friend Colleen Atkins. Colleen was a very special friend to her for the last 10 years. Her prized possessions were her collection of dolls. She liked doing puzzles, playing wahoo and collecting stuffed animals. Writing letters to her niece, Charlotte Landry was something she also enjoyed very much. She married Walter Kruse on November 24, 1973. Walter passed away on September 15, 1978. She then married Harry Van Wyk on April 19, 1980. Harry passed away on November 12, 1992. She then settled in Rock Rapids, Iowa.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Eva and George Landry, her sister and brother-in-law, Katherine and George Armington, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bernie and Minnie Den Hartog and Howard and Hermina Den Hartog.
