PATRICIA A. PARKER
Patricia A. Parker, the daughter of Luther and Liddie Mae Settlemyre was born August 25, 1936 in Dalhart, Texas. She received her education in Dalhart where she was raised by her Aunt Rachel Settlemyre. Much of her life was spent in Texas where she was employed as a waitress. She was united in marriage to Floyd Teafatiller and later to Thomas Parker. She moved to Iowa to be near her son, Tom and became a resident of the Primghar Care Center in August of 2000. She passed away at the care center on Sunday, March 21, 2010, reaching the age of 73 years, 6 months and 26 days.
She was raised in the Baptist faith which was important to her as well as raising her family. She enjoyed listening to hymns and country western music.
Pat is survived by two sons, Tom Burrow and Tanya Spieker of Spencer, Iowa and Tim and Debbie Teafatiller of Stratford, Texas and a daughter, Dianna (Teafatiller) Breeze of Martinsville, West Virginia; also grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Parker; a grandson, T.J. Teafatiller, who she helped raise; her parents and two sisters, Dorothy and Mary.
