VIVIEN A. JONES 
  
      Vivien Adelaide Jones, the daughter of Edwin and Edna (Daniels) Halstrom was born on a farm near Larrabee, Iowa on May 6, 1915. She received her education in country schools. On January 27, 1933, she was united in marriage to Allyn E. Jones in Dakota City, Nebraska. After their marriage the couple farmed near Larrabee, Iowa and later moved south of Paullina. In 1955, they moved to Colorado to make their home for many years. The couple returned to Paullina in 1982. Her husband preceded her in death on December 4, 1992 in Paullina. Vivien continued to live in the family home and passed away there on Thursday, April 30, 2009 reaching the age of 93 years, 11 months and 24 days. 
    She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Paullina. She loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking, needlework, bowling, golfing, playing cards and watching sports. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and enjoyed the Denver Broncos in football and the Denver Nuggets in basketball. 
   Vivien leaves to cherish her memory; two daughters, Barbara Erickson and Anita and her husband, Larry Alexander all of Brighton, Colorado; five grandchildren, Cinda Dirkson; Allyn and his wife, Marilyn Koehlmoos; Greg Koehlmoos; Tim and his wife, Beverly Reeves and Scott and his wife, Abby Reeves; 13 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, two brothers, Dale Halstrom of Everett, Washington and Irvin and his wife, Shirley Halstrom of Downey, California; one sister, Joyce Grinstead of Meridan, Idaho; a sister-in-law, Alice Halstrom of Paullina; also other relatives and many friends. 
     She was preceded in death by her husband, son-in-law, LeRoy Erickson; her parents, three sisters, Evelyn, Ruth and Dorothy; and three brothers, Vernon, Richard and Howard.
