WALTER R. DURHAM

Walter “Walt” Raymond Durham, the son of Walter Raymond and Alyce Gertrude (Kirenbrook) Durham, was born July 25, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri. He moved to California as a small child where he received his education. On July 17, 1974, he was united in marriage to Sally Moreau in Las Vegas, Nevada. After their marriage the couple made their home in California, where they owned and operated a New and Used Furniture Store and also an Auction Company. The couple moved from California and settled in Primghar in May of 1992. They owned and operated Grandma’s Attic in Primghar until ill health forced Walt’s retirement. He passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at the Baum-Harmon Mercy Hospital in Primghar, reaching the age of 64 years, 7 months and 6 days.
He enjoyed woodworking, cars and metal detecting.
Walt leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Sally of Primghar; children, Kevin and his wife, Adriana Matthews of Rancho Cucamonga, California; Jane Townsend of Primghar, Iowa; Raymond Moreau of Bullhead City, Arizona; Randy and Teresa Durham of Fontana, California; and Gidget Durham of Anaheim, California; ten grandchildren, David, Joanna, Kiana, Kevin, Erin, Tiffany, Alyce, Crystal, Faith and Anthony; three great-grandchildren, Zackery, Samantha and Jacob; a sister, Barbara Dorrough of LeMars, Iowa; also other relatives and friends.
