WILBUR R. KAISER

Wilbur Ray Kaiser, the son of William and Mildred (Harms) Kaiser was born December 29, 1935 on the family farm home near Germantown, Iowa. He received his education in a country school. He served his country in the Army from September of 1958 until June of 1960. After his discharge he returned to the family farm to farm with his dad. On April 28, 1963, he was united in marriage to Ruth JoAnne Richter at the St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown. After their marriage the couple settled on the family farm southwest of Germantown where Wilbur continued to farm. His wife preceded him in death on June 12, 2006 at the family farm home near Germantown. Wilbur passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at the farm home where he was born reaching the age of 75 years, 6 months and 29 days.
He was baptized on January 26, 1936 at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown and was later confirmed on April 29, 1951 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Marcus. Wilbur was currently a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown. He enjoyed spending time with his family, eating out, visiting, playing cards, cooking and the family farm where he spent most of his life.
Wilbur is survived by his daughter, Crystal Vande Weerd of Hospers; Dave Vande Weerd of Hospers; a brother and his wife, Harold and Betty Kaiser of Crestview, Florida; a sister-in-law and her husband, Elaine and Glen Waggoner of Sutherland; also other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, a sister and her husband, Phyllis and Dale Heins; a brother-in-law and his wife, Donald and Darlene Richter.
