William “Bill” Junior Reimers, the son of William Vernon and Harriet (Wilts) Reimers, was born December 3, 1953 in Sheldon, Iowa. He attended Boyden-Hull Community School, graduating in 1972. Bill was united in marriage to Susan Wissink on July 3, 1975 in Sheldon, Iowa. The couple farmed the Reimers Family Farm near Boyden, for most of their married life, alongside his dad. Bill began working at the Pella Corporation in 2002, while he continued to crop farm. Bill went to his eternal home following a traffic accident on August 7, 2007 in rural Boyden, reaching the age of 53 years, 8 months and 4 days.
He was an active member of the United Presbyterian Church in Boyden, serving as an elder, trustee and had served on many committees. Bill loved being on the farm, spending time with his grandchildren, going to Okoboji and playing Pinochle with his friends.
Left to cherish his memory, are his beloved wife, Sue; his daughters, Kristin and her husband, Chris Wright of Rock Rapids, Iowa; Laura Reimers of Orange City, Iowa; Angela and her husband, Josh Turner of Ankeny, Iowa; three grandchildren, Alison, Brady and Caden Wright; his mother, Harriet Reimers of Boyden, Iowa; his brother, Fred and his wife, Arlys Reimers of Archer, Iowa; three sisters, Carol Pomerenke of Sheldon, Iowa; Bettie and her husband, Norm Van Sloten of Newkirk, Iowa and Judy Lange of Orange City, Iowa; his mother-in-law, Phyllis Wissink of Sanborn, Iowa; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Mary Stegemann of Lakefield, Minnesota; Helen and her husband, Bob Schoon of Spirit Lake, Iowa; Lee Wissink of Des Moines, Iowa; Jay and his wife, Donna Wissink of Dallas, Texas; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

I felt the light of heaven
it was shining down on me,
I heard His voice, He called my name,
“my child, come follow Me;”
There is no pain, there is no hurt
nor sadness anywhere,
In heaven there is joy and love
and I’ll be waiting there;
For on the day I left this earth
I felt your many tears,
And now I watch you from above
and keep you very near;
It hurts to be apart from me, but
be patient for the day,
When we meet again in love and peace
when you too come this way.
