YVONNE A. HULS
Yvonne Ann Huls, the daughter of Nicholas J. and Anna (Even) Reecy was born December 27, 1932 near Canistota, South Dakota. Yvonne started her education in a country school near Canistota and then moved with her parents in 1940 to Parker, South Dakota where she finished her education and graduated from Parker High School in 1950. She then moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Here she met and eventually married Vincent L. Huls on June 10, 1952 at St. Joseph Cathedral in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls for 13 years before moving to Boyden, Iowa in 1965. Yvonne worked at DEMCO Mfg. Co. in Boyden for 21 years before retiring in 1994. Yvonne passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2011 near Spencer, Iowa in an auto accident, reaching the age of 78 years, 8 months and 14 days.
She was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sheldon, the Ladies Guild, Catholic Daughters of America and St. Patrick’s Missionary Group. Yvonne enjoyed wintering in Arizona with Vince and their “Arizona Family”. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, needlework, scrapbooking and gardening was her favorite. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and never missed a birthday or a holiday.
Yvonne is grateful for those sharing in her life her husband of 59 years, Vincent of Boyden; their children and spouses, Deborah and Michael Gavin of Cedar Falls, Iowa; Darwin and Sue Huls and Darryl and Mary Jo Huls, all of Boyden; Dean and Mindy Huls of Brooklyn, Iowa; Denise and Michael Boeve of Hartley, Iowa; Douglas and Stacy Huls of Phoenix, Arizona; Dawn and Larry Smit of Sheldon, Iowa; seventeen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by 2 grandsons, Michael Huls and Travis Boeve; her parents, two brothers, Lester and Delphin Reecy; and a sister, Vernique Bannwarth.

God of sowing and reaping, grant those moving from tears to joy the patience to wait, and the confidence to believe happiness will return.
