Barbara A. Harn, 79, of Hartley, formerly of Sheldon, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Community Memorial Health Center in Hartley. Her celebration of life will be 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Andringa Funeral Home in Sheldon with Father Siby Punnoose, officiating.

Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Sheldon.

Visitation with family present will be from 5 to 7 P.M. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Andringa Funeral Home in Sheldon.

BARBARA A. HARN

Barbara Ann Harn, passed away on August 19, 2026, at Community Memorial Health Center in Hartley reaching the age of 79 years, 11 months, and 2 days.

Barbara Ann Harn, the daughter of Fred and Edna (Armstrong) Lorenzen was born on September 17, 1946, in Primghar, Iowa. She received her education and graduated from Primghar High School in 1965. On April 16, 1966, Barb was united in marriage to David Harn at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sheldon. The couple resided in Sheldon. During Barb’s working life she worked at Aalfs and the Sheldon Hospital. David preceded Barb in death on August 17, 2023.

Barb was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sheldon. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, quilting and sewing. She especially enjoyed being around her children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kathryn Harn and fiancé, Jeremy Studebaker of Ruthven, Iowa and Loretta and Lyle Boone of Sheldon; six grandchildren, Michael Harn, DJ Harn (Ashley Clark), Ashley Harn, Cassandra Beenken, Blake Boone (Brooklyn Gravenish), Allison Nagel (Brent Bendlin; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Rich Lorenzen; sisters-in-law, Linda, Marilyn and Suki Lorenzen; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, husband, David, son, David Harn Jr., a sister, Fern (Gary) Van Otterloo, and brothers, Fred, Jim and Bill Lorenzen.
