BEVERLY RAYMOND
Beverly Raymond, the daughter of William and Zoe (Yeager) Toal was born October 13, 1933 in Primghar, Iowa. She received her education in Primghar, graduating from Primghar High School in 1952. On October 31, 1959 she was united in marriage to Wayne Raymond at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Primghar by Father Dean Walker. After their marriage the couple settled in Primghar where Bev was a legal secretary for Schultz and Green Law Office for over twenty-five years. Her husband preceded her in death on December 31, 2008 in Primghar. After her husband’s death, Bev remained at home until moving to the Primghar Care Center in October of 2011. She passed away at the Primghar Care Center on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 reaching the age of 78 years, 7 months and 17 days.
She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church where she was very active in the Women’s Guild and taught catechism for a number of years. Bev was also a member of the Iowa Legal Secretary’s Association. She enjoyed cooking for her family and also others. She enjoyed being with her grandkids, gardening, going to family events and their activities and enjoyed having a conversation with others. Bev’s brother-in-law, Mike Otto was a big part of Wayne and Bev’s life as he helped them so much.
Bev is survived by two sons and their wives, Tom and Shelli Raymond of Primghar and Jerry and Karen of Carroll, Iowa; four grandchildren, Steven, Miranda, Jalen and Peyton; two brothers and their wives, Dan and Doris Toal of Urbandale, Iowa and Jon and Cindy Toal of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; one sister, Pat and her husband, Merlynn Miller of Sheldon, Iowa and brother–in-law Mike Otto of Paullina, Iowa, also other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters, Loraine Sanders, Barb Bierry, Sharon Otto and one brother, Mick Toal.
