She moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 2005 and worked for Insurance Alternatives until 2006. She then began working for Esurance. Her family admired her for the strong friendships she maintained with school friends over the years and enjoyed her stories of friendship she made through co-workers. Carissa loved playing with her nieces and nephews and had a talent for making them laugh. She cared deeply for others and you could always count on her to be at the hospital to sit by a loved one's side or open her home to their family members to stay in time of need.
