            Funeral services for Christine “Christy” Bennett, age 51, of rural Paullina who passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the Orange City Area Health System in Orange City.  Her services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Sutherland Church Christ with Pastor John Erickson, officiating.

            Burial will be at Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina.

            Visitation with family present will be from 5 to 7 P.M. on Friday, May 17. 2024, at the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.

            Christine (Christy) Irene Bennett, of Paullina, Iowa passed away May 13, 2024, at the age of 51.

            Christy Bennett was born April 27, 1973, in Primghar, Iowa, the daughter of Bernie and Lorna (Edwards) Bennett.  Christy was baptized at the Zion Lutheran Church, Paullina, Iowa.  She graduated from Cherokee High School in 1993.  She worked at Cherokee Work Activity Center, Double HH Quality Products, Rock Valley, Iowa making various products, where her mom drove her back and forth to work for years.  

            In July of 1999, Christy moved into her own house in rural Paullina, Iowa to be closer to her mom and dad so they could look in on her.   She loved spending time with her many pets over the years, making book markers for people, riding her 4-wheeler, going to garage sales with her mom, going shopping and watching TV.  She passed away at Orange City Area Health Center on May 13, 2024.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

            Left to cherish her memories, father, Bernie Bennett, her brothers, Kirt Bennet of Punta Gorda, Florida, Russ (Jill) Bennett of rural Paullina, nephews, Sergeant Spencer Bennett, and Eli Bennett along with niece and great niece Amy and Aubrey Bennett.  

            Christy was preceded in death by her mother, Lorna Bennett.
