Christopher Joe Collins, 48, of Sheldon, Iowa passed away at his home on February 26, 2026.

Arrangements are under the care of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Christopher Joe Collins was born on February 25, 1978 in West Virginia to Barbara Lee Collins. He grew up in Philadelphia, Pa. He was a dedicated Eagles fan, always rooting for the underdog. He was a man with a big heart, always helping someone, somewhere with something in any way he could. He loved music, always singing to the radio or to his loved ones. Karaoke was a favorite for him. He was always joking around making people laugh. Always trying to brighten someone’s day. He loved his family and friends fiercely, even if he couldn’t always be there in person. He loved scratch tickets and casinos always trying to win the “Big Bucks!”

He moved to Iowa in 2004. He had an opportunity to own a home and make a better life.

He was preceded in death by Barbara Collins (mother at birth), Victoria Trice (mother in life), Carrol Snyder (sister), Richard Haller (uncle) and May Collins (aunt).

He is survived by William Collins (stepfather), brothers William Collins II, Saverio Marino, sisters Sarah Collins, Mary Collins, (ex-wife) mother of children Carissa Collins, Current partner April Roth, Ssons Noah Collins, Gregory Collins, Nathan Hale, daughter Bobbi Jo Collins, granddaughters Mia Roos, Kira Hale, Aurora Roth and grandson Jax Hale.
