Denice L. De Goei, age 59, of Sheldon, Iowa who passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Sanford Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at the First Reformed Church in Sheldon with Rev. Paul Van Maaren ~ officiating.

Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon, Iowa.

Visitation with family present will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Andringa Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Arrangements are under the care of the Andringa Funeral Home; Sheldon, Iowa.

Denice LeeAnn De Goei, the daughter of Delbert and Audrey (Vander Zwaag) Wiersma was born on June 6, 1962 in Orange City, Iowa. She grew up in in Newkirk and graduated from Floyd Valley High School in 1980. On December 30, 1982 she was united in marriage to Scott De Goei in the Newkirk Reformed Church in Newkirk, Iowa. To this union three children were born, Heather, Rachel and Allen. Denice worked at the American State Bank/Ambank Insurance Services in Hospers, Iowa for 36 years before retiring in 2016. Denice passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the Sanford Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota reaching the age of 59 years, 6 months and 6 days
Denice was a member of the First Reformed Church in Sheldon. She enjoyed crafting and reading to her grandchildren, vacations in northern Minnesota every year. She loved her family and grandkids and enjoyed all of their events.
Left to cherish Denice’s memory are her husband, Scott of nearly 39 years of Sheldon, their 3 children, Heather (Matt) Waldschmitt of Ankeny, IA; Rachel (Nick) Tanner of Lake Park, IA and Allen De Goei of Granville, IA; 5 grandchildren, Ellie and Everett Waldschmitt and Tayten, Mauer and Audrey Grace Tanner; her father, Delbert Wiersma of Spirit Lake, IA; 2 brothers, Roy (Dawn) Wiersma of Castlewood, SD, John (Kim) Wiersma of Newkirk, IA, a sister, Andrea (Doug) Grossmann of Alton, IA, her in-laws, Gilbert and Shirley De Goei of Sheldon; a sister-in-law, Gail (Robert) Vander Hamm of Ireton, IA; her nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Denice was preceded in death by her mother.
