Memorial services for Dennis B. Noack, age 80, of Sheldon who passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center. His memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon with Pastor Christopher Martin, officiating.

Burial with military honors by McGlothlen-Cowie Post of the Sheldon American Legion will be at East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon.

Visitation with family present will be from 10 A.M. until the time of the service on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the church.

Arrangements are under the care of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon.

DENNIS B. NOACK

Dennis Berthold Noack the son of Richard and Johanna (Mulder) Noack was born October 28, 1944, in Alexander, Minnesota. He moved with his family to Sheldon where he attended school and graduated from Sheldon High School. He was called in to the United States Army being in ducted on August 24, 1965, and being discharged on August 8, 1967. He returned to Sheldon and was employed by Noack Electric a business he later owned. In 1982 he went to work for Rome LTD working there until 1998. In 1998 he began his employment with Maintainer Corp. in Sheldon working there until his retirement in 2018. In 1963 he met the love of his life Arlene Rensink. The couple was together for many years and in 1972 they had a son Richard together. On November 12, 1995, the couple were united in marriage at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon. Their married years were spent in Sheldon. He passed away on Thursday August 14, 2025, at the Sanford Sheldon Hospital reaching the age of 80 years 9 months and 16 days.

He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon, the McGlothern-Cowrie Post of the American Legion of Sheldon, Sheldon Eagles, NRA, and since 1972 he was a Hunter Education Instructor. He enjoyed bowling, Minnesota Twins, his bulldogs and many fishing trips with his family member to Gettysburg, South Dakota and to Canada.

Dennis is survived by his wife Arlene Noack of Sheldon, Iowa; two sisters Gladys (Robert) Duckson of Burnsville, Minnesota and Linda Warner of Sheldon, Iowa also many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son Richard on November 9, 2021, parents a sister and her husband Donna (Bud) Kruse and a brother-in-law Darrell Warner.
