Diane Barker, 65 of Sheldon passed away on Monday March 02, 2026 at Sheldon Sanford Medical Center.

Arrangements are under the care of the Andringa Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Diane Barker was born in Sheldon, Iowa on March 10, 1960 to Nick and Annie (Zalme) Jilderda. Diane was a cook for many years at many restaurants. Later on, when she moved back to Sheldon, she worked at Casey’s and Hardee’s.

Diane is remembered as an amazing mother, wife, grandparent and friend. She loved to go to her grandkid’s sporting events and always kept track of everything they were doing in school. Besides family she also had a love for dogs.

Diane was big into Iowa football and basketball. She was also a huge fan of NASCAR. Her favorite drivers were Dale Earnhart Sr. and Jr.

She is survived by her husband Chris Barker and his son Kalab. Her son Craig (Lacey) De Boer (grandkids Jarvis, Addison, Penelope and Cain). Daughter Amber (Trey) Norton (grandkids Izzy, Cameron and Caiser).

Diane was preceded in death by Nick and Annie Jilderda.
