Jackie Keizer, age 97, of Sanborn, Iowa, formerly of Sheldon, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Prairie View Home in Sanborn. Memorial Services will be Monday, July 15, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Reformed Church in Sheldon. Rev. John Vermeer officiating. Graveside Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 15, at East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon. Visitation will be Sunday, July 14, from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. with the family present at the Andringa Funeral Home Sheldon Funeral Service in Sheldon. Jacoba "Jackie" Keizer was born on October 2, 1921 in Middleburg, Iowa. She was the daughter of John and Marie (Vander Griend) Kroeze. She lived her youth in Middleburg where she attended a country school. She was united in marriage to Richard Keizer of Perkins, Iowa on January 31, 1947 in Orange City, Iowa. They lived in Sioux Center, Iowa until moving to Sheldon, Iowa in 1963. Richard passed away on March 19, 1987. Jackie was a homemaker and sold AMWAY from her home. She functioned best when she followed her weekly routine. She was a frugal person and the Village Treasure Chest was her favorite place to shop. She enjoyed gardening and canning. She was always happy and content to stay at home and was there when family and friends needed her. Jackie moved into town and lived at a four-plex. She later lived at Fieldcrest in Sheldon and then moved to Sanford Senior Care until she decided to be closer to her daughter, Audrey in Sanborn and moved to Prairie View Home. Jackie was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Sheldon. She passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Prairie View Home in Sanborn. Those left to cherish her memories are two daughters and sons-in-law, Audrey and Ron Schott of Sanborn, IA, Donna and Evan Blom of Rock Valley, IA; daughter-in-law, Terri Keizer of Arizona; 8 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Frances Kroeze of Sheldon, IA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Keizer; two sons, LeRoy Keizer and Wayne Keizer; grandson, Craig Schott; her parents; two sisters, Ida Kuyper and Nelvina De Groot; two brothers, Gerrit Kroeze and Herm Kroeze.
