JARED D. NELSON
We were given the gift of Jareds life on August 19, 1991 and what a precious gift it was. His early adventures were spent in Primghar, Iowa and even as a small child his beautiful sweet smile charmed everyone he met. No one was a stranger to Jared. When you met him you just loved him. His teen years were spent in Sheldon with more years of shenanigans, making friends, delivering newspapers, working at Fareway and going on adventures. He graduated from Sheldon High School in 2010 and went on to attend NCC for carpentry. After graduating from NCC he moved to Cedar Falls, Iowa for a short time, until he broke yet another bone and had to move home for a while. During all his free time recuperating he googled and searched and decided it would be an awesome idea to move to Las Vegas, Nevada, so Jared, his brother and a friend packed up a U-Haul and headed west trying to stay ahead of a blizzard in February of 2012. He worked for a solar company in Las Vegas for several years and in the past couple years he did carpentry side jobs on his own.
He loved life to the absolute fullest and was the most outgoing, funny, nicest person you could ever meet. If you met Jared even for a second you loved him, because he opened his heart to you without even knowing you. He spread genuine love and positivity everywhere he went. His legacy lives on in so many hearts.
He is survived by his mom, Bev and stepdad, Arlen Houtsma; his dad, Marvin Nelson; 4 brothers, Brandon, Derek, Travis and Chad Nelson and a sister, Bailey Nelson; grandma, Norma Bailey; 2 nieces, 1 nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandpa.

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
When tomorrow starts without me,
And Im not there to see;
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me,
I know how much you loved me,
As much as I loved you,
And each time that you think of me,
I know youll miss me too.
So when tomorrow starts without me,
Dont think were far apart,
For every time you think of me,
Im right here, in your heart.
