Jarrod A. Heithus, 47, of Paullina, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, at St. Luke's Unity Point in Sioux City, Iowa. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.

Jarrod Allen Heithus, the son of Gisela Heithus was born on September 6, 1978, in Primghar, Iowa. He received his education from South O’Brien Schools, later obtaining his GED. He married Jen in 2005. He was the foreman of fiber optic plowing for Schoon Construction, Inc. in Cherokee. Jarrod passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Unity Point Health in Sioux City at the age of 47.

Jarrod enjoyed guns, movies, grilling, and his trucks.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jasmine and Dawson Heithus; siblings, Jeanie (Troy) Johns and John Heithus; nieces, Brittany Christensen, Jordan Johns, Kylie Johns; nephew, Dalton Johns; great nieces, Ryley and Alayna Arnold, Felicity Christensen and great nephews, David Christensen and Elijah Johns.

Jarrod was preceded in death by his mom, Gisela and grandparents.
