Jeremy D. Tewes, 53, of Sutherland, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at his residence.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Sutherland.

Jeremy Dean Tewes, the son of Lester and Shirley (Menke) Tewes, was born on December 13, 1972, in Primghar, Iowa. He graduated from South O’Brien High School in 1991. After graduating, he enlisted with the Iowa Army National Guard. Jeremy passed away at his residence on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the age of 53 years, 6 months, and 14 days.

He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Oakland Raider fan and collected Diecast cars.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Lester and Shirley Tewes of Sutherland; daughter, Elizabeth Imel; siblings, Aaron Tewes and Loretta Goeschel; also, other relatives and friends.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
