JoAnn M. Moret, age 86, of Boyden, Iowa passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the Crown Pointe Estates in Sioux Center, Iowa. Her Memorial Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at United Presbyterian Church in Boyden, Iowa with Rev. Brian Schafer ~ Officiating.

Private Family Graveside Services will be held in Sheridan Township Cemetery in Boyden, Iowa.
Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00~7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at the United Presbyterian Church in Boyden.
In Lieu of the flowers memorials can be directed to IPTV or to the Boyden Public Library

JoAnn Marjorie Moret, the daughter of Lyman and Elizabeth (Tholl) Clark, was born September 19, 1936 in Des Moines, Iowa. She moved with her family and attended schools in Des Moines, IA, Philadelphia, PA and Jamacia, New York and graduated from Iowa State University in 1958. While at Iowa State, she met her future husband and on March 23, 1958, she was united in marriage to Lee Roland Moret in Des Moines, Iowa. The young couple made their home on the Moret family farm near Boyden. Lee and JoAnn moved off of the farm and into Boyden, retiring in 1986. Lee passed away on November 29, 2019 and JoAnn remained in their home until her passing on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the Crown Point Estates in Sioux Center, IA reaching the age of 86 years, 9 months, 29 days.
JoAnn was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Boyden and the Boyden Red Hats in Boyden. She was a Music Booster, 4-H Leader and a Cub Scout Den Mother. JoAnn and Lee loved to travel together, seeing Germany, the Netherlands, France, Norway, Nova Scotia, Mexico, the Canadian territories, and many of the 50 states. They also enjoyed more than 20 years of winters in Yuma, Arizona together with their winter friends.
She enjoyed fishing with family, canoeing in the boundary waters, golfing, tennis, gardening, baking, knitting, sewing, reading, and playing the piano and the accordion. She loved music and theatre and even played her accordion on radio stations in New York and Des Moines in her youth. JoAnn was a long-time member of her church choir and enjoyed being a cast member in plays and musicals at Yuma and the Otter Valley Country Club.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children; Karen (Randy) Bentsen of Sioux Center, IA; Clark (Debra) Moret of Boyden, IA; Beth (Dwight) Sipma of Sheldon, IA and Peter (Kim) Moret of Eldersburg, MD; 16 grandchildren, Audra Jooste, John (Laura) Bentsen, Brandon (Kari) Moret; Heather (Kris) Rozeboom, Nathan (Paige) Moret; Kylie, Benjamin and Tyler Sipma, Adam (Katlyn) Moret, Jacob Moret and Kathryn Moret; and 15 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Frank Clark and a sister-in-law, Rae Jean Clark and other relatives and many friends.
JoAnn was proceeded in death by her parents, a brother, Lyman Clark and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Clark and her husband Lee.
