Services for Mary A. Baker, age 63 of Sheldon who passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Living Water Community Church in Sheldon with Pastor Jesse Walhof, officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are under the care of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Mary Ann Baker, the daughter of John and Arlene (Fischer) Baker was born on March 11, 1962, in LeMars, Iowa. She was a member of Living Water Community Church in Sheldon. She enjoyed playing games, diamond art, and especially spending time with her family. Mary passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children and their spouses, daughter, Judy and James Wagner of Sheldon, Iowa and son, Michael and Misti Baker of Hawarden, Iowa; grandchildren, JayKlynn (Douglas) Deckman of Corning, California, Sarah (Caleb) Vanden Brink of Sanborn, Iowa, Matthew Wagner of Sheldon, Iowa, Tristen Tifft of Spencer, Iowa, and Michael Baker of Hawarden, Iowa; great grandchildren, Deacon Deckman, Iris Vanden Brink, and Atreus Vanden Brink; sister, Janet Brandon of Bakersfield, California; brother, Mark (Diana) Baker of Ashton, Iowa; also other relatives and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John and Arlene Baker, sister, Jolene Pauley, brother, John Baker, and great granddaughter, Genesis Vanden Brink.
