Nancy Chrisman, age 67, of Sheldon, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the Sanford Sheldon Medical Center in Sheldon, Iowa.

Her Visitation will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Sheldon, Iowa.

     Nancy Lee Chrisman, the daughter of Frank Lawrence and Darlene Frances (Van Steenwyk) Schwarz, was born on June 6, 1955 in between Sheldon and Sanborn, Iowa. She attended school in Sheldon, graduating from Sheldon High School in 1973. She went on to further her education by graduating from WIT Community College with her LPN. 

     Nancy was united in marriage to Glenn I. Chrisman III on May 15, 1976 at the Sheldon Church of Christ. This union was blessed with two children, Mike and Gerry. Nancy worked for Super America Gas Station, and for several years at Aalfs Manufacturing. When the boys were older, she went back to school to receive her RN Degree. Then working in nursing homes, as an in-home care provider, and for NCC as CNA Instructor, where she then retired. Nancy was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sheldon. She enjoyed gardening and her animals. She also enjoyed volunteering in the community, especially with the local Girl Scout troops.

     Nancy passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center in Sheldon, IA reaching the age of 67 years, 10 months and 26 days.

     She leaves behind her husband, Glenn; their 2 sons, Glenn Michael IV “Mike” (Mary) Chrisman of St. Augustine, FL and Frank Gerald “Gerry” (Rebecca) Chrisman of Sheldon, IA; 6 grandchildren, Hannah (Cody Acton) Chrisman, Emily Chrisman, Paige Chrisman, Elizabeth (Tim) Imel, Benjamin Chrisman, and Andrew Chrisman; 2 brothers, Rod (LeeAnn) Schwarz of Sutherland, IA and David Schwarz of Spearfish, SD; great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her parents.
