NORA E. E. TESCH
Nora Elsie Emma Tesch, the daughter of Benjamin and Anna (Ebert) Holtgrewe was born on October 10, 1914 at her parent’s home south of Paullina, Iowa. She was baptized on November 22, 1914 and later confirmed on April 13, 1930 at Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina. She attended country school in O’Brien County. She was united in marriage to Harry Tesch on December 20, 1931 in Remsen, Iowa. The couple was longtime residents of Primghar. Nora was a housekeeper for many people as she took in their laundry and ironed clothes. Her husband preceded her in death on June 15, 1999. Nora remained in Primghar until 2004 when she moved into the Prairie View Manor and later Prairie View Nursing Home. She passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Prairie View Nursing Home reaching the age of 98 years, 4 months and 23 days.
She was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina. She was active with the Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting and sewing.
She is survived by four children, Harlen and his wife, Velma Tesch of Milford, Iowa; Eldon and his wife, Harriet Tesch and Dale and his wife, Rita Tesch all of Wahpeton, Iowa; Sharon and her husband, Tim Kohn of Ashton, Iowa; a son in law, Dale Wacker of Hartley, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Sztuk of Mesa, Arizona; also a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Elaine; an infant daughter, a grandson, Loren Tesch; her parents, nine sisters and four brothers.
