Services for Paula J. Saupe, age 75, of Sheldon who passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Her memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at the Archer United Methodist Church in Archer with Pastor Jacob Sandholm ~ officiating.
Her graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Primghar.
Arrangements are under the care of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Paula Jean Saupe, the daughter of Linferd Theodore and Thelma Mae (Childers) Saupe was born on May 6, 1946, in Primghar, Iowa. She graduated from Gardena High School in Los Angelas, California. After graduation she attended the University of Iowa where she received her bachelor’s degree in nursing and furthered her education there to receive her Masters. Paula was a nurse for 34 years. She passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota reaching the age of 75 years, 1 month and 20 days.
Paula was a member of the Archer United Methodist Church. She ran the Archer Café and enjoyed farming. In addition to traveling around the country to visit her favorite people, Paula enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, watching the Cubs and cheering on the Hawkeyes. She was a staunch advocate for several different groups and causes.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Adam and his wife Jennifer Saupe of Parker, Colorado; two grandsons, Brody, and Ledger Saupe; brother, Perry and his wife Mary Ann Saupe of Long Beach, California; also, other relatives and friends.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents and a sister in infancy, Janet.
