Richard A. Eide, 85, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Loring Hospital in Sac City. His celebration of life will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Primghar.
Burial will be at a later date at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Primghar.
Visitation will follow the service at the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Primghar on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

Richard Arliss Eide
Mr. Richard A. Eide, age 85 of Sac City passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 14th 2026 with his family by his side.
He was born on August 17th 1940 in Yankton South Dakota to Arthur and Evelyn (Christensen) Eide. He attended Yankton High School graduating in 1958. On May 25th, 1958, he was united in marriage to Ruby Turner and moved to Storm Lake, Iowa. Then in 1972 they purchased an acreage in Newell to finish raising their four children. They moved to Colorado for a short time before returning to Iowa and eventually making their home in Primghar Iowa. They lived there for several years before losing his wife Ruby on December 13th, 2005. After that he purchased homes in Pomeroy and then Newell. He finally settled at Oak Terrace in Sac City, Iowa.
He enjoyed his family and friends, camping, playing pool, fishing and golfing.
Richard is survived by his four children; Debra Jackson and her husband Gary of Alta, Iowa; Brenda Braunschweig and her husband Randy of Newell, Iowa; Rennie Eide and his wife Lisa of Granger, Iowa; Leah Movall and her husband Larry of Pomeroy, Iowa; a sister Dianna Langholdt and her family of Cherokee, Iowa; 12 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren; a special friend Charlotte Sundberg, extended friends from Oak Terrace Hill, as well as other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Eide, parents Arthur and Evelynn Eide and his in-laws Everett and Ethel Turner.
