Family services for Rick B. Ginger, age 62 of LeMars, Iowa and formerly from rural Primghar, Iowa who passed away at his home in LeMars on Monday, March 16, 2020 will be held at the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Primghar, Iowa with Rev. Michel Lundula ~ officiating.
Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Primghar.
There will be no visitation.

RICK B. GINGER
Rick Bryan Ginger was born on October 9, 1957 to John “Jack” and Delores (Horstmann) Ginger in Primghar, Iowa. He attended school in Primghar, Iowa graduating in 1976 from Primghar High School. He then began actively farming with his Dad. Rick had just retired from farming last fall. In 1982, he was united in marriage to Karen Bonath and they made their home on the family farm east of Primghar. To this union two children were born, a son Neal and a daughter Kelli. Rick was extremely proud of his children.
Rick was a member of the Primghar Jaycees, Gaza Fire Department and on the board of Producers Co-op. He loved playing cards, golfing, bowling, fishing, riding his Harley and driving his Chevelle. He especially enjoyed helping his kids with his carpenter skills. He loved his family immensely. His five grandchildren were his pride and joy. Rick passed away at his home in LeMars, Iowa on March 16, 2020 reaching the age of 62 years, 5 months and 8 days.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Karen; a son, Neal Ginger and his wife, Kari of Bettendorf, Iowa; a daughter, Kelli Lambertus and husband, Martin of LeMars, Iowa. Grandchildren, Ty, Brody, Marli, Mia and Harper; a sister, Laurie Haugen and her husband, Larry of Mason City, Iowa; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dee Ream, Steve Bonath, Dennis Bonath and Lynn Nickelson and other relatives and many friends.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Bob and Mary Bonath, brothers-in-law, Tom Ream and Nick Nickelson.
