RITA M. KROESE
Rita Mae Kroese, the daughter of Eldon and Myrtle (Juhl) Bleasdell, was born February 11, 1934 in LeMars, Iowa and later moved with her parents to Boyden, Iowa where she attended school and graduating from the Boyden High School in 1952. On June 1, 1952, she was united in marriage to Arnold “Arnie” John Kroese at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon. The couple made their home. Rita worked for Dr. Ron Zoutendam for nearly 40 years, retiring in 1995. After retiring she worked at Children’s World for 5 years. Rita passed away August 1, 2018 at the Sibley Specialty Care in Sibley, Iowa reaching the age of 84 years, 5 months and 20 days.
She was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon. She loved spending her winters in Texas, playing Pinochle. Rita was also a Good Cook.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Arnold “Arnie” of 66 years; her son, Ronald (Tracie) of Omaha, Nebraska; a daughter-in-law, Martha Kroese of Cedar Falls, Iowa and a special cousin, Sandy and her husband, Al Nibbelink of Orange City, Iowa; and other relatives and friends.
Rita was proceeded in death by her parents, a son, Terry Kroese.
