Rose M. Mordick, age 79, of West Salem, Wisconsin and formerly of Sheldon, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at the Lakeview Health Center in West Salem, Wisconsin. Her Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon, Iowa with Rev. Dave Van Kley ~ officiating.

Burial will be in the East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon, Iowa.

Visitation with the family present will be 1:00-2:00pm on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon, Iowa.

Rose Marie Mordick, the daughter of Jay and Charlotte “Lottie” Christine (Schutt) Davis was born June 29, 1941 in Cherokee, Iowa. She received education in the Cherokee School System. Rose was united in marriage to Howard L. Mordick on July 17, 1959 in Cherokee, Iowa. After their marriage the lived in Cherokee, Alta, Storm Lake, Sibley, Spencer and moving to Sheldon in July of 2008. Howard preceded her in death on November 11, 2008, Rose remained in her home until moving to West Salem, Wisconsin in 2015 to be near her daughters. Rose passed away at the Lakeview Health Center in West Salem, Wisconsin on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 reaching the age of 79 years 10 months and 19 days.
Rose was a member of the Lutheran Faith and had been active in TOPs. She enjoyed drawing, painting, and crafts.
Rose will be lovingly remembered by her children, Cathy (Jim) Berge of La Crosse, Wisconsin; Kenneth (Kim) Mordick of Sheldon; Barry (Rhonda) Mordick of Sheldon; Karen Mordick of Baraboo, Wisconsin; 6 grandchildren, Nick Mordick, Ryan (Marissa) Mordick, Nathan (Victoria) Lundgren, Kayla and Haley Berge, Dustin and Daniell Perry; 10 great-grandchildren, Aria, Asher, Zoee, Kinsley, Zander, Carson, Grayson, Emerson, Eila and Jackson; a cousin, Carol (Larry) Kielhorn of Holstein, Iowa; good friends, Helen McGowan of Alta, Iowa and Mary Poller of Brewster, Minnesota; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; her parents, a son, Charles; 3 sisters, one in infancy, Mary Lang and Jean Brunning.
