Services for Scott A. Koedam, age 54, of Sheldon who passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center. His funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Faith Community Church in Sheldon with Pastor Kevin Gingerich, officiating.
Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon.
Visitation will be after 3 P.M. on Friday, May 31, 2024, with family present from 5 to 7 P.M. at Faith Community Church in Sheldon.
Arrangements are under the care of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon.

SCOTT A. KOEDAM
Scott Andrew Koedam, beloved son of Andrew and Rosella "Sally" (Maassen) Koedam, was born on March 9, 1970, in Sheldon, Iowa. He received his education from Sheldon Community Schools, graduating in 1988. On January 11, 2002, Scott married the love of his life, Jill (Brouwer) Ennema. Together, they shared 22 years of happiness.
Scott was a dedicated entrepreneur, owning and operating Sheldon Vault Company and later Koedam Lettering and Monuments. During his off seasons, he assisted in sorting cattle for Sheldon Livestock. Scott passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center.
A devout member of Faith Community Church, he was also a member of the Sheldon Eagle's Club. Scott found great pleasure in fishing, golfing, and Saturday morning card games with friends at J&B. He truly enjoyed welcoming friends to his shop just outside of town. Above all, Scott cherished the time spent with his family.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Jill; his children, Blake and Brooke Koedam, and Dallas and Dylan Ennema; his mother, Sally Koedam; his siblings, Ranae (Steve) Kleinwolterink, Shonna (Brian) Hector, Gayla (Jay) Donkersloot, and Machelle Koedam; his mother-in-law, Beverly Brouwer; his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Sally (Joe) Narmi and Mike (Angie) Brouwer; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Andrew, and his father-in-law, Dennis Brouwer. His legacy of love, hard work, and devotion will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
