Stanley Ray Nagel, age 75, of Sheldon, Iowa who passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at his home in Sheldon, Iowa. His Memorial Service will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, June 15, 2020 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Sheldon, Iowa with Rev. Zac Patke ~ officiating.
Burial will be at a later date.
Due to state and federal guidelines due to COVID-19 regulations we ask that everyone remain at least six feet of physical distance between each group or individual attending alone. Also, the capacity of the church will be at 50 percent.
Arrangements are under the care of the Andringa Funeral Home - Sheldon.

Stanley Ray Nagel, the son of Ludwig and Tena (Nagel) Nagel was born on August 9, 1944 in Sheldon, Iowa. He went to school in Sheldon until the age of 12, when he moved with his parents to George, Iowa where he finished his education and graduated from George High School in 1963. After high school he worked construction driving truck. On January 23, 1965, he was united in marriage to Deanna Norton in Sheldon, Iowa, after their marriage, the couple made their home in Sheldon. Stan worked as a mechanic for Verschoor Motors in Hospers, Iowa, he also drove truck for several years for OCCO Feed. Stan was driving for Van Wyk Trucking – Sheldon until 1978 when he was involved in an accident. On Wednesday, June 10, 2020, Stan passed away peacefully at his home in Sheldon, reaching the age of 75 years, 10 months and 1 day.
Stan was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Sheldon. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a Big Fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes Basketball and Football. He loved spending time with his family.
Left to cherish Stan’s memory is his wife of 55 years, Deanna of Sheldon; and their children, Robert “Bob” (Linda) Nagel of Sheldon, IA; Shane Nagel and Kim Pittman of Sioux City, IA; Jesse Nagel of Estherville, IA; Stephanie (Jeff) Bultman of Hawarden, IA; Amber (Trevor) Rockwell of Sioux Falls, SD and Michael (Heather) Nagel of Remsen, IA; 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a sister, Donna Hewitt of Brandon, SD and a sister-in-law, Elaine Nagel of Sioux Falls, SD; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Stan was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brittany Nagel, his parents, a brother, Larry “Tiny” Nagel and a brother-in-law, Dale Hewitt.
