Services for Steven C. "Cheeks" Burmakow, age 62, of Paullina who passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Sanford Senior Care in Sheldon. His memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina with Pastor Lynn Dau ~ officiating.
Burial will be at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Primghar.
Visitation with family present will be from noon to 1 P.M. at the funeral home on Thursday, February 25, 2021.
Masks will be recommended for the visitation and service.

Steven C. Burmakow, the son of Gregor and Mary (Kruse) Burmakow was born on December 20, 1958 in Primghar, Iowa. He received his education and graduated from Paullina High School in 1977. After graduation he worked various jobs that included being a farm hand for Paulsen brothers, Lenny and Cindy Paulsen and Bernie and Judy Paulsen, worked with heavy equipment for various construction companies including WRD and Brad Puhrmann. Steve worked the wheat run and at the lamb plan outside of Paullina. Steve passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Sanford Senior Care in Sheldon reaching the age of 62 years, 2 months, and 22 days.
Steve enjoyed visiting with people, watching NASCAR races, and also cared deeply about his nieces and nephews.
Left to cherish Steve’s memory are his mother, Mary (Burmakow) Whited of Marcus, Iowa; his siblings, Gregory (Lynn) Burmakow of Paullina, Jeanette (Roger) Prunty of Marcus, Iowa, Donald Burmakow of Paullina, Eileen (Dean) Campbell of LeMars, Iowa, James (Lori) Burmakow of Paullina and Mary Ann (Tim) Plathe of Granville, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his dad, Gregor, step-father, Claude Whited Jr. niece and nephew Kelly and David Burmakow and maternal and paternal grandparents.
