Celebration on life services for Steven L. Grayson, age 70, of Paullina who passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. His celebration of Life will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Laue Community Room in Paullina City Hall.
Arrangements are under the care of the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.


Steven L. Grayson, the son of Merle and Margaret (Bravard) Grayson was born on June 6, 1948 in Cherokee, Iowa. He attended Larrabee Consolidated School and graduated from Cherokee High School in 1966. After high school he attended two years at Nettleton Business College. On Halloween in 1973 he met his sweetheart Julie Hoger and the couple later married on July 27, 1974 in Paullina. Steve spent most of his career driving truck with his last employment at GCC. Steve passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City reaching the age of 70 years, 7 months and 21 days.
Steve was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina. He was a very proud dad and grandpa. He loved spending time with his family He was one to tell many jokes while spending time with friends and getting together with all of his neighbors. Steve also enjoyed cooking, watching old westerns and sporting events on TV.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Julie of Paullina; two daughters, Kara and her husband Mike Thompson and their children, Cade and Audra; Steph and her husband Travis Flegler and his son, Jordan; special friends Mel and Rod Hedberg and their children Addison and Connor; two sisters, Rhonda Saxen and Mabeth and her husband Dennis Kraft; one brother, Craig Grayson; mother-in-law, Betty Hoger; brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his parent, Merle and Margaret Grayson; brother, Keith Grayson; special Aunt, Gladys Grayson and father-in-law Julius Hoger.
