Funeral services for Terry L. Kamstra, age 66, of Sheldon who passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. His funeral mass will be 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sheldon with Father Siby Punnoose ~ officiating.
Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Sheldon.
Visitation with family present will be from 5 – 7 P.M. on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sheldon with a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7 P.M.
Arrangements are under the care of the Andringa Funeral Home – Sheldon.

Terry Lee Kamstra, the son of Bill and Evelyn (Meerdink) Kamstra was born on November 13, 1957. Terry lived his youth in Sheldon, Iowa where he attended Sheldon High School.
He was united in marriage to Kay (Roth) Kamstra of Sheldon, Iowa on May 8, 1982, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Parish in Sheldon. They lived in Sheldon, until 1989, when they moved to rural Sheldon. Terry worked for Rosenboom Machine and Tool from 1976 to 2019 as a Fabrication and Assembly Operation Manager.
Terry was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sheldon where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also an active member of National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF), Iowa Black Powder Federation (IBPF), and Racoon Valley Muzzleloaders.
Terry had a great love for his wife, children and grandchildren. His life’s passion was centered on his family, church, and friends. He loved his sister, brothers, nieces, and nephews. He especially enjoyed sharing his moto “This is the best day of my Life” with all he met. Terry treasured his years as a hunter and gun enthusiast, horse rider, farming with family, traveler, and rendezvous attendee where he won many medals, and trophies.
Left to cherish his memory; daughter Christine Kamstra (Jeremy Hilgerson); grandchildren Cayden (16) and Kayci (11); son Luke Kamstra; daughter Elizabeth Fettes (Josh Fettes); daughter Margaret Kamstra (Josh Burger); grandchildren Dean (6) and Katherine (5); a sister Eileen Martens of Sheldon, Iowa; brother Arlan Kamstra of California; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roth in-laws, wife Kay Kamstra, brother Butch Kamstra, and grandson Jackson Kamstra.
