Wyatt Leon Kruger age 74, formally of George, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Community Memorial Health Center in Hartley, IA. Wyatt was the son of Pierce “Lindy” and Martha “Mert” (Timmer) Kruger.
Wyatt was born on March 14, 1949 in Iowa City, Iowa. Wyatt was baptized at the Central Baptist Church in George, Iowa and attended Sunday school there. He went to the First grade in Doon, Iowa and the family moved to George, Iowa where Wyatt Graduated from the George High School in 1967.
After graduation Wyatt joined the United States Navy and served our country from 1968 to 1972. After he was discharged, he returned home and worked as an Electrician for a few years. In 1976, he purchased a Sanitation business and ran Kruger Sanitation until 1979 when he sold it. He then worked as a trucker for Midwest Coast Transport and later ran the George Rendering Service with is dad, Lindy until 2004. He then worked part time for Kruse Farms retiring in 2013.
Wyatt was always busy doing something and was always willing to help anyone in need. Wyatt had a very giving heart and loved children. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved his family and the Lord very much. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In 2017, Wyatt was in a car accident that left him needing full time care. Since the accident Wyatt was a resident of the VA Hospital and Rock Rapids nursing home and later moved to the Community Memorial Health Center in Hartley, IA the last 4 years. He made many friends there and enjoyed talking to all his health care nurses. Although he was never able to return home after his accident, he made the best of it and went through many surgeries and therapies and did it all with kindness and was grateful to all who helped and took care of him.
He leaves to morn his passing his mother, Mert Kruger of George, Iowa and his sister, Mona & (Bill) Brush of Rapid City, SD; his nieces, Hallie (Shawn) Kennedy of Ashton, IA and Amber Brush of Rapid City, SD and very many special friends.
Preceding him in death are his father, Lindy Kruger, nephew, Wyatt Brush and his grandparents, Peter M. and Elizabeth Kruger and Bernard and Jennie Timmer.
